From the perspective of data center infrastructure, our major difference is modularity and intelligence.
Compared with the traditional data center construction mode, the smart modular DC adopts the full-modular architecture. The standard interfaces of all components are prefabricated, pre-tested, and assembled onsite. The onsite construction and commissioning can be completed within one week, saving service rollout time. In addition, due to unpredictability of services, traditional construction mode planning and capacity expansion are difficult. One-time planning and construction are prone to excessive investment, resulting in high OPEX and resource waste. The modular construction mode can be deployed in phases with customers' services, and flexible capacity expansion, reducing initial investment.
In addition，Huawei smart modular DC solution integrates AI features based on modularization and maximizes the value of data center infrastructure by using iPower, iCooling, and iManager intelligent features.
Huawei iPower can realize millisecond-level fault detection and millisecond-level fault isolation through power supply full-link monitoring, which can eliminate fire hazards and greatly improve the reliability and availability of data center energy infrastructure. For example, in the power distribution system, iPower incorporates AI technology, which can accurately predict the life and health of the battery, provide users with a maintenance decision basis in advance, eliminate battery packs with potential failures in time, and change passive response to active maintenance. It can automatically cut off the battery in extreme cases such as rapid temperature rise of the battery, thereby avoiding vicious events such as fire and greatly improving the reliability of the data center.
